Check out this amazing post we just received in our Weigh Less to Feed More At Home program, Facebook group page. It excited me so much, I had to share. I love it when people GET IT!Hello fellow Pilgrims,
I am Kyla, and I am so excited to be a part and a teammate to Revelation Wellness! I know I need to explain my intro….(as you will learn I have a sense of humor) Psalm 84:5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. I love this verse and I think about what pilgrimage means- pil·grim·age- religious journey: a journey to a holy place, undertaken for religious reasons a trip to special place: a journey to a place with special significance. I think this is what our challenge is about. Only I would replace religion with personal relationship.
I have “dieted” before and fell back into the wrong mindset and trap of the enemy, however; I wanted to share some verses I learned to pray and meditate on when hunger and temptation was in my face(and mouth). Matthew 5:6 ~Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. John 6:35 ~ Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. Revelation 7:16 ~‘Never again will they hunger;never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat down on them, nor any scorching heat. God showed me to apply these verses when huger and temptation (at improper times) tried to over power me. It was more of Him that I need and only He can fill me completely. Just like Jesus in the desert, He quoted Scripture to the enemy! Pilgrims. We are all pilgrims. We couldn’t agree more Kyla! We are all on a journey to a holy place filled with joy and bathed in freedom. Whatever you are eating and drinking, we pray you are doing it all to the glory of God! (1 Corinthians 10:31) Peace.
